Weekly Gasoline Prices Inch Down But Remain Elevated

Gas prices inched down from last week but remain elevated. As of September 25, the price of regular and premium gas fell by 4 and 2 cents from the previous week, respectively. According to GasBuddy.com, California has the highest average price for regular at $5.79 and Mississippi has the cheapest at $3.22.

Currently, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline stands at $3.83, with premium gasoline averaging $4.75 per gallon. One year ago, regular gas was priced at $3.71 per gallon, while premium gas was at $4.59 per gallon.
