Other enhancements

In addition to our redesigned web site, we’ve also enhanced our other online media and services.

  • Our weekly, daily and specialized e-Newsletters have been redesigned to improve legibility, navigation and performance for both desktop and mobile users.
  • Replays of all APViewpoint webinars older than 30 days can be viewed by clicking on the “Webinars” menu choice under “Resources.”
  • Our upgraded subscription page gives greater control over which of our newsletters and special advertiser offers you wish to receive.

Evolving with an industry in transition

The enhancement of our web site and online services aligns with the evolution in the way advisors use online media. A larger percentage are using mobile devices and all readers expect faster performance, user-friendly navigation, and easier access to specialized content from their online resources.

More importantly, these changes also reflect a transformation in the advisory profession itself. When we started in 2007, our primary audience consisted of registered investment advisers (RIAs) and registered representatives who were primarily focused on selling investment products and managing portfolios. But over the past decade, our research has identified a growing number of advisors who define themselves primarily as financial planners. Many are moving away from “investment only” service models to become trusted life-stage planning partners for their clients, providing advice, strategies and portfolio management services to address their investment, liquidity, retirement and legacy planning needs.

We’ve responded to these changes by expanding our financial planning and practice management coverage from experts such as Bob Veres, Wade Pfau, Joe Tomlinson, Dan Solin, Beverly Flaxington and Dan Richards as part of our roster of regular contributors and webinar presenters and by adding new specialized content channels and newsletters.

And, today, it is with great excitement that we acknowledge this transformation with the rollout of our new corporate branding and tagline:

Helping advisors enable clients to achieve their financial goals

Our new branding redefines Advisor Perspectives to our readers and advertisers. More than just a newsletter and web site, Advisor Perspectives, Inc. is a team of experienced financial industry and technology professionals who share a common commitment to delivering a wide range of educational resources that enable advisors to manage, retain and acquire client relationships more effectively. We believe that the enhancements we’ve launched today—and those we plan on implementing in the future—demonstrate our commitment to providing a superior reader experience and an optimal promotional environment for our advertisers.

In addition to our web site and newsletters, Advisor Perspectives provides a wealth of additional resources for advisors.

Dshort

Founded by nationally known economist Doug Short and acquired by Advisor Perspectives in 2012, the dshort section of our web site has become a go-to source for timely economic and market charts and analysis.

APViewpoint

Since its launch in 2014, APViewpoint has grown to become America’s largest online advisor community. In the coming months we’re planning on adding many new features to make APViewpoint an indispensable resource for advisors seeking advice and strategies to help them manage their clients’ complex financial lives.

APViewpoint webinars

Since APViewpoint became Advisor Perspectives’ webinar platform in 2014, it has hosted more than 30 webinars attended by more than 12,000 advisors.
