Five Credit Portfolio Managers Leave Hedge Fund Brevan Howard
At least five portfolio managers focused on credit trading at Brevan Howard Asset Management have left the hedge fund firm, the latest sign of fallout from market turmoil.
Simon Gee, Jenna Collins, Adam Steer, Chris Watson and David Heinau have departed, people with knowledge of the matter said, asking not to be identified because the details are private.
Credit trading head Andy Silver is also leaving his current role and stepping into an advisory position, Bloomberg News reported last month, though that transition is unrelated to the latest departures.
A representative for Brevan Howard, which manages about $35 billion, declined to comment. The five traders did not respond to requests for comment.
The firm, which specializes in macro trading, lost about 1% in its multistrategy Alpha Strategies Fund last month, erasing gains for this year. Its main macro hedge fund — Brevan Howard Master — was up 0.4%, seeing its year-to-date losses narrowing to 0.2%, the person added.
