Yet commodities also remain an asset class that is not well understood. Today, we will dive into the state of the commodity market, and how opportunities and pitfalls in 2024 may affect your portfolio.

About Our Guest

Robert Minter, CFA, CMT, CAIA is the Director of ETF Investment Strategy. He has written numerous articles on commodities and has been quoted in several top-tier outlets. Robert joined abrdn in 2006 leading internal commodity strategy for 12 years and has extensive experience managing US multi-asset portfolios. Before joining abrdn, he worked at Vanguard, Fidelity and then Emerald Capital Group, where he managed fixed income portfolios and monetized workout securities for insurance company portfolios. A member of the CFA Institute, CMT Association and the CAIA Association, Robert earned his B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University.

Abrdn is an independent active asset manager with $467.5 billion in AUM… The company’s current ETF range includes commodity ETFs with $7.1 billion in assets across eight products.
