Eric helps financial advisors, asset allocators, and individual investors solve complex financial problems using options-based strategies. Previously, Eric was a research analyst at Nasdaq Dorsey Wright (NDW), a technical-analysis-focused investment firm in Richmond, Virginia. While there, he focused on client communications pertaining to market research, including writing a daily column for advisor clients as well as hosting the firm’s podcast and video discussions. Eric also led workshops around the country for financial professionals seeking to understand and implement the NDW methodology into their practices. Prior to NDW, Eric served clients as a financial advisor with C&F Wealth Management, an LPL affiliated firm that held $450 million in assets under management.
Eric holds a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance from Virginia Tech. He lives outside of Richmond, Virginia with his wife, Kirstain, their daughter, Emilia, and their golden retriever, Murphy.

Joe began his career with Stutland Equities LLC. in 2005, working on the Chicago Board of Options Exchange and specializing in electronic market making. In 2008, Mr. Tigay became a member trader of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange (CBOE). As a member trader, Joe was a very active market maker in both SPX and VIX options from 2008 to 2012.
Joe utilizes this unique understanding of S&P, VIX options and futures to manage a volatility arbitrage fund.
Discussing options, volatility, and market insight, Joe has appeared on Bloomberg, BNN, and has a regular segment on CBOE.tv.
Joe graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Economics. He currently holds licenses for Series 3, 56, 65.

Mark Marex works as a Specialist in Index Research & Development, splitting his efforts between producing original content in support of existing index products, as well as developing new indexes for launch and commercialization. Before joining Nasdaq Global Indexes in 2019, Mark was an emerging fund manager of a systematic long/short US large-cap equity strategy, and co-founded Roundtree Capital Management in 2016. Prior to that, Mark spent eight years at Citigroup in New York, working as a Product Manager of FX in the Investor Services business; as a Vice President of Client Strategy & Analytics in the Investment Banking division; and when he first started in 2008, as a Product Controller in Structured Credit.
Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University in 2008, and has been a CFA charter holder since 2012.He is passionate about innovation in the world of indexing, ETFs, and quantitative investing. He resides in Brooklyn, NY with his fiancée.

Troy Cates brings 23 years of trading and portfolio management experience to his role as Managing Director for Harvest Volatility Management, where he helps manage and trade the firm’s institutional portfolios along with guiding the development of the firm’s ETF products. Prior to joining Harvest, Troy served as Managing Director, Head of Trading and Portfolio Manager at Horizons ETF Management U.S. and has enjoyed roles as Partner and Head of Trading at Recon Capital where he oversaw portfolio management and trading for the firm’s exchange traded funds, closed end funds and separately managed accounts. Previously, he was an Executive Director at MKM Partners where he was an institutional execution trader and helped launch the firm’s equity derivatives desk. Troy started his career working as a market maker at Spencer Trask, a NYC based venture capital firm. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from SUNY Albany.
